Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026

Zoundify ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Zoundify web application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you use Google OAuth, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.

Learning Progress

We store your lesson progress (which lessons you've started and completed) so you can resume where you left off across devices. This data is tied to your account.

Feedback & Bug Reports

If you submit feedback through the in-app feedback widget, we store the message content, feedback type, the page you were on, and your email address.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous, aggregated page view data to understand how the product is used. No personal identifiers are included.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the service — account authentication, saving and syncing your progress.
  • To improve the product — reviewing feedback and bug reports you submit.
  • To send important updates — we may email you about significant changes to the service or your account. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
  • To power AI-driven features — your learning activity and progress data (e.g. which lessons you've completed, how you interact with exercises) may be used in aggregate and anonymised form to train and improve AI models that power personalised recommendations, adaptive lesson sequencing, and predictive features within Zoundify. We will never sell this data or use it to train models outside of our own product. You may opt out of this at any time by contacting us.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to your data is restricted to you and our application backend through enforced access controls.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Zoundify — including authentication providers, cloud hosting, and analytics. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to cache your lesson progress locally for fast load times. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

An authentication session token is stored in a cookie to keep you signed in. This is essential for the service to function.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Progress data is deleted when your account is deleted.
  • Feedback submissions may be retained for up to 2 years for product improvement purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.
  • Export your data upon request.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

8. Children's Privacy

Zoundify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
